Lichen Walk with Tom Walker

  • Borders Farm 31 North Road Foster, RI, 02825 United States (map)

Lichens are common, yet overlooked components of our forests and fields.  They break rock down into soil, stabilize bare soil, provide shelter for invertebrates, and many other things.  Join naturalist Tom Walker as we learn about these fascinating symbiotic organisms, often called little ecosystems.

Please bring a hand lens if possible, if not one will be provided.
